UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES
Class Action Lawsuit Against
Massachusetts Automobile
Insurance Companies
The firm has filed a class
action lawsuit in the
Massachusetts Superior Court
against seven Massachusetts
automobile insurance companies
on behalf of all persons who
obtained arbitration awards
against the Defendants and were
not paid interest from the date
of the award to the date of
payment .
The complaint alleges that the
failure to pay such interest
constituted a breach of the defendants' common law duty, a
breach of the insurance policies
and constituted an unfair and
deceptive practice in violation
of the Massachusetts Consumer
Protection Act, General Laws
Chapter 93A.
