Regarding CEC Entertainment, as reported in The Wall Street Journal, "On Aug. 11, the operator of Chuck E. Cheese restaurants said it has been notified that the SEC is conducting an informal inquiry into the company's historical stock-option granting practices.  On Oct. 31, the company said its audit committee has found that its stock-option granting process "often" resulted in measurement dates that differed from the recorded dates for the awards. Noting that the probe found no evidence of fraud, the company said additional non-cash stock-based compensation expense should have been recorded, and it estimates an aggregate of related pretax charges of $10 million to $35 million.”
